New members – Buddy system
If you are joining the tennis club and are unsure who to play with or how to get involved, we have a buddy list whereby you can arrange a game with some of our friendly members. Our coaching team oversee this system and will also be able to point you in the right direction as far as team tennis, social tennis or coaching is concerned. We offer a vibrant and comprehensive junior tennis programme at Lichfield Friary, structured to help young players of all ages progress from picking up their first racquet to representing the club in LTA competitions.
By joining Lichfield Friary, not only do our junior players have access to a wide range of coaching opportunities, they can also

We offer two tiers of junior membership.
Full Junior membership
Most of our juniors have Full Junior membership, which lets them make full use of the club facilities and the tennis opportunities we offer. Full Juniors get a discounted rate of coaching, can use the courts for free when they are available, they can enter the annual junior club tournament and can represent the club in matches.

Come and see us and try before you buy
Come and have a look around the club and perhaps trial one of our weekly mix-in sessions to meet some members and try out the courts. You can have a tour of the courts and clubhouse and we can answer any questions you have.
For juniors, our coaching sessions offer a great opportunity to pick up a racket and see if the sport is right for you.

Join British Tennis for free
Lichfield Friary LTC is affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) so all club members can become a ‘British Tennis Member’ for free.
